These women possessed incredible traditional skills—the intricate handwork of Kantha, appliqué, and fine embroidery—but lacked the infrastructure to build sustainable livelihoods. Since 2020, Suryanagri Craft has addressed this gap by establishing foundational training programs and safe, structured environments. Consider Saraswati: she joined our first cohort, and by crafting our signature bags, she gained not just income, but a new voice in her household. The most inspiring growth came organically, not through formal recruitment, but from one empowered woman to the next. Success stories like Saraswati's inspired fellow craftswomen to join, allowing what began as a small initiative to blossom into a thriving, trust-built network.
